dejaviewmaster Jeffrey's Human Persona masterfully crafts songs that soften the soul so deeply, exactly where it is needed, exactly when I need it, hands down the most tender artist I have ever stumbled across. A blessing to all those that he touches. almighty Opp is always there exactly when needed and is ALWAYS more than enough, never to be forgotten until the end of days ♦️ Favorite track: Let Them See.

Cover up your face and go To hand out bloody noses to who doesn't know what's coming Or stand back and do nothing While cheering on another one Civility forgotten To me What a humorless world this would be So, pack up all your things to find Some other ones who nod their heads and help you to destroy something It's they who are not right you see And anyone who disagrees will feel the force of othering To me What a humorless world this would be
2.
I'm whispering what I need to scream Pretending takes me to a time when we were free As I replay all of these stories Tinted retellings of embellished colorings To me But I'm broken in both ways To me But I'm broken in both ways Is this a bit too much honesty? Flowery feelings draped in slight depravity They only see what they want to see I like what they don't like about you,so it seems To me But I'm broken in both ways To me But I'm broken in both ways
3.
I'm not here when you hold me up high Thoughts of you return me to why You hold me down and tell me to fly I don't like what I see Seeing me through your eyes Say goodbye to me Close your eyes and see these Lips whispering One last word from me Loved by you all Crushed by you all And your love You hold me tight as you tell me to run Push me back as you beg for a hug You call me cold as you're blocking the sun Defend myself and you say I'm no fun Say goodbye to me Close your eyes and see these Lips whispering One last word from me Loved by you all Crushed by you all And your love When I'm gone You'll say you never did me wrong Say goodbye to me Close your eyes and see these Lips whispering One last word from me

Let Them See 03:33
Now you'll hear me kindly tell you no A word that you have never known I've got that sinking feeling down Down where it all goes A place so dark nothing can grow A little violin plays for you Two fingers touch Humor ensues Make it a holiday for the moment that you got a clue That is my gift to you Cause I'm the one no longer hiding I've given all I have to give You hear me set these intentions daily Let them see Just how beautiful you used to be Let them see Just how beautiful you used to be
5.
I hold your light up to the light I held this glass of wine up high I played the fool for all of you I played it more than half my life And that's fine So, save your breath to cool your coffee When you get around to thinking of me Save your breath to cool your coffee When you get around to thinking of me When I think of you You find yourself in two times at once Hold on to nothing very tight Convinced myself this was my life I played the fool for all of you Too many times to count the times And that's fine So, save your breath to cool your coffee When you get around to thinking of me Save your breath to cool your coffee When you get around to thinking of me When I think of you You find yourself in two times at once
6.
You Haunt Me 03:20
7.
You were never unkempt Where you were Or where you went With your two narrow tubes running over rouge From where they're sent Back and forth to your room Everyday afternoon I look for you With your lipstick half missed You arrive talking shit Before you sit Just know this I want you to remember it I hope I don't see you tomorrow Please say you hope you don't see me I hope I don't see you tomorrow Now kiss my cheek and leave me be Why won't he take me? Why won't he take me? Why won't he take me If he were there, he would take me Cause this is no way to live Before you sit Just know this I want you to remember it I hope I don't see you tomorrow

about

Another sad and cynical softening I made for me and send out to you.

The album art for this is a closeup of piece of art titled, "Immaculate Degeneration. I made the piece around 2002 while working at an old-age retirement home. If you're involved with elderly care, you're familiar with the repurposing of tennis balls used for protecting the feet of walker legs.
While in charge of changing the balls I became fascinated with their erosion, the bottoms worn down from weeks of residents walking from apartments to dining room and back three times a day.
I started a collection of the balls as well as discarded vintage windows from the facility. The windows became the frames used to display the balls which I encased in clear resin.
Unfortunately, all that exists are photographs as these works were destroyed in the Shadow Hills Creek Fires of 2017.
